Arman Tsarukyan: a fighter from Russia competes in the UFC with the flag of Armenia and wants a home in the USA

This is the story of a lightweight who was born in Georgia and could have become a hockey player.

Childhood and Youth of Arman Tsarukyan

Arman Tsarukyan was born in the small Georgian town of Akhalkalaki, where mostly Armenians live. His father Nairi Tsarukyan is engaged in the construction business. Mom’s name is Anahit Hakobyan. Armand also has a brother, Arthur, and a sister, Isabella. When the future UFC star was two years old, his father went to work in Khabarovsk and moved his family to this city.

From the age of 8, Tsarukyan played on a hockey rink, and at the age of 12 he joined the “Amur” section. Arman combined hockey training with freestyle wrestling. From three to five o’clock in the afternoon Tsarukyan was wrestling, and then from six to eight o’clock in the evening he left for hockey.

Tsarukyan left hockey at the age of 17 because he was unable to break into the Amur main team. Arman did not try himself in other teams, as he did not rate his level of play highly, and decided to concentrate on wrestling. The athlete began to practice pankration and grappling. Keep Reading

UFC Fight Night is set to take fans back to the UFC APEX for the final time this year, with some highly anticipated matchups scheduled for this coming Saturday.

In this article, we take a look at the six of the most interesting fights on the card, as well as the odds attached to them ahead of one of the last events of 2023.

Michael Morales vs. Jake Matthews

Michael Morales is -305 for a victory over Jake Matthews, who’s +245 to win this bout.

The fighters are very similar as they move at the same speed and register just about the same accuracy and distance defense, though Matthews’ defense from distance is lower. On another note, he has way more experience than his upcoming opponent as this will be his 19th fight in UFC while Morales only has four under his belt.

It does read as if Matthews is an aged veteran, but he’s only 29. He’s our favorite for this one given the huge difference in experience.

The much-anticipated UFC 295 is set to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 11, featuring a headline bout between Jiří Procházka and Alex Pereira for the vacant light heavyweight title. Conor McGregor is one of the most famous sports personalities in the world, especially in the world of combat sports/fighting sports/mixed martial arts.

The question being asked here about the Irish mixed martial artist, better known as ‘Notorious,’ is, ‘Is Conor McGregor closer than ever to a return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)?’ Let’s dive straight in to find out.

Is Conor McGregor close to fighting in the UFC again?

According to reports, Conor McGregor will, at some point, make a return to the UFC, but it’s not likely to be in 2023. If he makes a comeback, it could be in 2024.

UFC CEO Dana White recently announced the remaining 2023 UFC fights, and McGregor’s name was not on the list. Some expected that he would return to the Octagon before this year’s end, but he missed his short opportunity to re-enroll in the USADA drug testing pool in July.

His last competitive UFC fight was in July 2021, when he lost in the fifth minute of round 1 against Dustin Poirier by KO/TKO. In the fight before this in January 2021, which was also against Poirier, he lost by KO/TKO (punches) in 2:32 of the second round.

He appears to have recovered from his leg injury and is back in the gym training again, so it shouldn’t be too long before we see McGregor fighting in the UFC again.
