McGregor-Holloway 2 Is a Nightmare for Anyone Who Trusts a Ranking Algorithm

Posted on July 10, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Photo by David Guliciuc on Unsplash

Thirteen years on from their first fight, Conor McGregor and Max Holloway meet again Saturday at welterweight. No rating system, human or computerized, has enough recent data on either man to call this one with a straight face.

A Fight Nobody Actually Expected to Happen

UFC 329 headlines International Fight Week on Saturday, July 11, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor and Holloway first met in August 2013 on a preliminary card in Boston. McGregor won a unanimous decision, tearing his ACL somewhere along the way. Both guys were still nobodies at featherweight.

Then their paths split hard. McGregor became a two-division champion and the biggest star the sport has produced. Holloway did the unglamorous thing: he kept fighting. He held the featherweight title for three years and, in one of the sport’s better recent moments, knocked out Justin Gaethje in the final second of UFC 300 to take the BMF belt. Now they’re doing it again, two weight classes up, and McGregor hasn’t fought since a broken leg ended his 2021 trilogy with Dustin Poirier.

UFC 329 – McGregor vs. Holloway 2 – FightMatrix Preview and Prediction

Posted on June 26, 2026 by Vitaliy Vovk

Jul 11, 2026 | Las Vegas, United States

More than twelve years after their first meeting, [NR] Conor McGregor (22-6-0) and [#5 LW | #4 UFC] Max Holloway (27-9-0) are set to face each other again in one of the most anticipated rematches of 2026. This time, the bout will take place in the welterweight division (170 lbs), adding another intriguing element as both fighters compete above their traditional weight classes.

Their first encounter took place in August 2013 at UFC Fight Night 26, where McGregor earned a unanimous decision victory. Since then, both athletes have become UFC legends, but they enter this rematch from very different positions.

Decoding MMA Betting Odds: How to Spot Value in UFC and Combat Sports

Posted on June 17, 2026 by A. J. Riot

The UFC and other major promotions in the fight industry have seen their popularity rise, so have the number of people betting on their matches.

However, many bettors are only interested in the odds if they believe they will win, not if they’re a good value.

Being successful at a game of betting does not just involve making a prediction of the winner. It’s really about recognizing when outcomes have a higher probability than would be normally expected.

By learning the terminology of the odds in MMA betting, you can make better decisions and will not make common mistakes that make casual bettors lose money.

UFC Fight Night 279 – Kape vs. Horiguchi 2

Posted on June 15, 2026 by Vitaliy Vovk

Jun 20, 2026 | UFC Apex, Las Vegas, United States

[#5 FW | #2 UFC] Manel Kape (22-7-0) vs [#3 FW | #5 UFC] Kyoji Horiguchi (36-5-0)

Preview and Prediction

The main event of UFC Fight Night 279 features one of the most intriguing flyweight rematches in recent MMA history as Manel Kape and Kyoji Horiguchi meet nearly nine years after their first encounter.

The two fighters originally faced each other on December 31, 2017, at RIZIN World Grand Prix 2017. On that night, Horiguchi showcased his championship-level versatility by defeating Kape via third-round arm-triangle choke. Since then, both athletes have continued to evolve and establish themselves among the world’s elite flyweights.

Today, the rematch arrives under very different circumstances. Kape enters as one of the UFC’s leading title contenders, while Horiguchi returns to the Octagon carrying the experience of a legendary career that includes championships in both Bellator and RIZIN.

The numbers game behind MMA and why fight predictions feel like a lotto ticket sometimes

Posted on June 11, 2026 by A. J. Riot

MMA looks like total chaos inside the cage, and when you start looking at the stats and probabilities, predicting fights feels a lot less scientific and a lot more like scratching a lotto ticket and hoping your number hits.

Mixed martial arts exploded. Everywhere you look, whether it’s a UFC main event or some small local show, fans are always out there trying to pick a winner. But here’s what most people figure out quickly: No matter how much you study, predicting fights in MMA just feels unpredictable. One clean shot and the whole thing changes. A fighter slips, suddenly they’re fighting for their life. The lock-of-the-night you picked? They’re on their back, staring at the ceiling.

Why I Started Betting on MMA Fights (And What Actually Works)

Posted on June 4, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Never imagined myself as a betting guy.

Growing up I’d watch UFC every Saturday night with my roommate, making wild predictions we’d forget by Sunday. About 18 months ago I started backing up that talk with real money, which taught me fast that being confident and being right are completely different things.

My first bet was $25 on a fighter who’d knocked out three consecutive opponents. Got submitted in Round 1. My money vanished in 4 minutes and 32 seconds.

I’ve spent a year and a half understanding what makes a bet smart versus stupid. You can check platforms like RexBet Canada to see current odds, but knowing what those numbers mean takes practice.

Can Prediction Markets Price UFC Fights Better Than Oddsmakers?

Posted on May 28, 2026 by A. J. Riot

UFC betting has entered a strange, serious phase. Fighters still make weight, coaches still talk carefully, and fans still convince themselves they spotted something in an open workout. The new part comes from prediction markets, where users trade event contracts whose prices move as opinion changes. Kalshi now lists UFC and MMA markets, including fight outcomes and title-holder contracts, which puts combat sports inside a trading format built around live probability.

UFC Fight Night 277 – Song vs. Figueiredo

Posted on May 19, 2026 by Vitaliy Vovk

May 30, 2026 | Galaxy Arena, Macau, China

[#7 FW | #5 UFC] Yadong Song (22-9-1) vs [#9 FW | #7 UFC] Deiveson Figueiredo (25-6-1)

At UFC Fight Night 277, rising Chinese contender Song Yadong faces former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo in a high-level featherweight clash with major ranking implications.

Song enters the bout as the younger, faster, and more volume-oriented striker. Fighting in China gives him a significant psychological and crowd advantage. Over the last several years, Song has developed into one of the UFC’s most dangerous pressure boxers at lighter weights, combining sharp combinations, strong takedown defense, and improving fight IQ. His ability to maintain pace over five rounds could become a major factor.

Figueiredo remains one of the most explosive and dangerous finishers in MMA. Despite moving up from flyweight, his counter-striking, power, guillotine threat, and veteran experience make him extremely dangerous early. However, durability and speed disadvantages against naturally larger featherweights may become visible as the fight progresses.

Arnold Allen vs Melquizael Costa Preview

Posted on May 14, 2026 by Jack Latham

An intriguing encounter awaits at the Meta APEX this weekend as ‘Almighty’ Arnold Allen faces off against ‘The Dalmatian’ Melquizael Costa in the featherweight division.

BACKGROUND

After over a year out of the octagon, Arnold Allen returned in January on UFC 324, suffering a close decision loss at the hands of top contender Jean Silva.

He now makes a quick return at the Meta APEX, against the dangerous Melquizael Costa, who has won his last six fights.

Allen has been on the UFC roster since 2015, registering wins against Dan Hooker and Giga Chikadze along the way, making him a danger to anyone in the featherweight division.

A fight against Max Holloway and a close decision loss to Movsar Evloev gave Allen valuable experience that he hoped could take him to the next level.

As for Costa, the Brazilian has caught the attention of UFC fans with his high-pressure, high-volume style, which has led to him knocking out Morgan Charriere and submitting Andre Fili.

The Dalmatian’s most impressive victory came in February, though, as he finished Dan Ige with an eye-catching spinning back kick followed by some ground and pound.

With Allen looking to reignite his status as a featherweight contender, and Costa aiming to increase his winning streak, a great fight awaits.

But only one man can come out on top… Keep Reading

UFC’s Polymarket Deal Adds a New Layer to Fight Analysis

Posted on May 12, 2026 by A. J. Riot

UFC’s partnership with Polymarket is not just another sponsorship deal. It signals that prediction markets are moving closer to the live fight experience, where fan sentiment, probability shifts and real-time market reactions may become part of how bouts are discussed.

TKO announced Polymarket as the official and exclusive prediction market partner of UFC and Zuffa Boxing, describing the deal as the first integration of prediction market technology directly into the live fan experience. The partnership is expected to include activations across live events, broadcasts and digital content.

Conor McGregor net worth and latest rumors and predictions

Posted on April 21, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Conor McGregor net worth sits in that rare zone where brand power, old fight purses and fresh speculation blur into one headline. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he is worth about 200 million dollars as of now, although Forbes reported a revenue of 180 million dollars during a year-long stretch in 2021 due to the sale of his controlling interest in the brand Proper No. Twelve to Proximo Spirits for an estimated sum of 150 million dollars. This difference is important due to the fact that one represents a net worth and the other an earned income, and this is exactly why McGregor still manages to be unique from almost all active names in MMA.

UFC Freedom 250 Odds, Fights, and Best Bets

Posted on April 21, 2026 by A. J. Riot

UFC Freedom 250 already looks like one of the biggest UFC events of 2026, partly because of the setting and partly because of the matchups at the top. The event is scheduled for June 14th, 2026, in Washington, D.C., with Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje booked as the main event and Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane set as the co-main.

This card is interesting because it’s not built on one pattern. Stake’s board shows Topuria as a major favorite over Gaethje, while Pereira and Gane are priced almost dead even, which gives the event a very different feel depending on which fight you are looking at. There are also strong favorites lower on the card, including Sean O’Malley and Maurício Ruffy, which makes Freedom 250 a useful card for both straight winner picks and riskier bets.

Some fights look straightforward, others feel much harder to price, and the current odds already point out where the market sees confidence and where it sees danger. For fans who want to check out the latest UFC 250 markets, the smart place to start is with the fights themselves and which favorites actually deserve the support.

UFC 327 arrives just at the right time: a big match, exclusive odds and an event that really needs a smart betting preview

Posted on April 9, 2026 by A. J. Riot

UFC 327 arrives just at the right time: a big match, exclusive odds and an event that really needs a smart betting preview It’s April, folks… and that means only one thing, we’re back into that familiar UFC mayhem. Well, UFC 327 is practically around the corner, and you can already feel that “fight week” vibe even though we are not even officially there yet. Twitter (ok, X), Reddit, forums, it’s getting worse. And to be honest, this is not one of those “meh” events, but just a card that can take a break. The main fight of the evening brings the fight between Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight title, which immediately raises the tension. There is no “we’ll see who the next challenger” type of calculation, no waiting, no complications, the winner goes home with the belt. So, that’s exactly the reason why UFC 327 seems like an ideal opportunity to combine event promo, sportsbook traffic and blog content that won’t act as generic SEO filler. What makes the job even better is that the audience here doesn’t just get “one big match and a lot of idle time”. The card underwent a change before the event itself, as the fight Joshua Van vs. Tatsuro Taira rescheduled for UFC 328, so Paulo Costa vs. Azamat Murzakanov was moved up to the co main slot. That changed the dynamic of the main part of the night a bit, but it didn’t kill the interest on the contrary, it provided another interesting matchup for people who like to look for value in the odds rather than just click the biggest name on the list.

UFC Fight Night 272 – Moicano vs. Duncan

Posted on March 29, 2026 by Vitaliy Vovk

Lightweight Main Event | April 4, 2026 | UFC Apex, Las Vegas

Fight Analysis

The main event is a classic clash of experience vs momentum.

[#12 LW | #10 UFC] Renato (Moicano) Carneiro (20-7-1) is a high-level veteran and former title contender, known for:

  • elite BJJ and submission arsenal
  • high fight IQ
  • experience against top-tier competition

However, he enters this fight on a two-fight losing streak, raising questions about whether he is still at his peak.

[#37 LW ] Chris Duncan (15-2) is a dangerous rising contender riding strong momentum:

  • 4-fight winning streak (most by finish)
  • aggressive pressure-heavy style
  • significant improvements in grappling

UFC London Predictions

Posted on March 20, 2026 by Jack Latham

Main Card Predictions:

Kurtis Campbell vs Danny Silva

After securing a first-round TKO on Dana White’s Contender Series, Kurtis ‘The Pink Panther’ Campbell is set to make his UFC debut against the Brazilian Danny Silva.

Campbell is currently 8-0 as a professional MMA fighter, with the featherweight from Liverpool securing four knockout victories and one submission in his seven Full Contact Contender fights.

The ‘Pink Panther’ has a background in Muay Thai and won a world title when he was younger, creating a base for a successful MMA career.

His opponent, Danny Silva, made his UFC debut in March 2025, where he defeated Lucas Almeida via split decision.

Since then, he was defeated via unanimous decision by the rising prospect Kevin Vallejos, a great learning experience for Silva.

Silva has a primary base in boxing and likes to apply constant pressure to his opponents, combining strikes in the pocket with constant leg kicks.

This is a tough start to life in the UFC for Campbell, but I believe he can get the job done via a decision.

I think Campbell will try to keep his range from Silva and work off his jab, mixing in takedowns when the opportunity arises.

Silva may land some big strikes in the pocket exchanges, but I think Campbell will be more active in the fight, landing more consistently and causing more damage to his opponent.

Final Prediction – Kurtis Campbell via split decision Keep Reading
