Yes, I think we are close to expanding to 25…..

  2. Jonathan April 20, 2023 at 2:13 pm Reply

Could this page be updated to 25 fighters to have at least one full page of fighters. The women’s 145 really has come a long way over the years. They deserve at least one full page!

The “real girl” you speak of is ranked at 135.

  4. jason August 20, 2018 at 2:25 am Reply

Was actually considering reducing this to 10 fighters….

Dalziel being rated last week was a bug. She started out as a ‘male’ by accident.

  6. jason August 20, 2018 at 2:25 am Reply

Seems like this division loses a ranked fighter every week or two.

  7. Chromium August 20, 2018 at 2:25 am Reply

This division is still in massive disarray and halfway just a feeder for Bantamweight… but good to see Invicta rehabbing it and keeping it a least slightly relevant. 145 is already a really low ceiling for women in a combat sport and 135 is crazy low, even if Ronda is (probably) the baddest woman on the planet.

Should be interesting to see how things develop with all the talented prospects popping up lately.

I think she’s at #23… but there are fractional points separating all fighters from #6 on down… this division is so weak, I’m considering reducing it back to a Top 10.

This section is REALLY BADLY out if sync. Sorry guys /gals.

You have no Dandois who is the no.1 ranked 155 pounder. For some reason she’s still in 135 division from 3 fights ago.

Megan is above Reina even though untill this weekend Reina has never lost a fight?

Germaine no.2 who isn’t at 145 she and Holly are 135ers. (Just because the UFC puts them in 1 match you move entire careers?)

Pam is also a 135er who took 1 match at 145, so you shouldn’t remove her from her 135 standing??
And no Gabi Garcia? Who is 4-0 who is not anything unbelievable but based on your OWN calculation explanations should land her in the top 10?

Why are you not bothering to fix any of this? WMMARankings is accurate, sohaa Sherdog?

Please fix for the fans. Thanks.

Incredibly weak division… two good fighters and some scrubs.

  15. jason August 19, 2018 at 8:51 pm Reply

A Lightweight list would be even more scarce than this one… If it becomes more than a Super Heavyweight, but for women… I’d consider it.

“Julia Budd Dominates Gabrielle Holloway At Bellator 133”. I thought I heard that Gabrielle kept losing so bad at Feather weight that she moved to XFC-i’s Fly weight. Or is that another Gabrielle Holloway who is Fly? So much for XFC’s iron contracts, I see XFC’s Kalindra Faria after the law suit talk about her fighting in WSOF now she is in KSW vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz for straw belt. Wish the law suits against the UFC were this nonsense.

    Thanks for the reminder.

It’s going to be a “wait and see” for 145 and 125.. depends on what the UFC does with them.

Right now.. 145 isn’t even close.

    105-125 are fine.

135 may get another 5 here soon.

Sorry just saw the “pink vs Dandois” article link.
Yes I am 100% sure as I know the athlete and her corner team (Miesha and brother) and that article is NOT ACCURATE. It was at 140 pounds.
But I will find a counter article for you as I understand you will need online data support.🙏
    Thanks.

Marloes Coenen is loyal to her Golden Glory team which has long dispute with UFC (UFC states they will not work with them as they must be paid first then they will pay their fighters and UFC says it does not work that way) UFC has lost many fighters because of this.

Invicta has yet to anounce the fighters in their new Lightweight division…Jozette Cotton, Veronica Rothenhausler, Felicia Spencer, Tweet says she will fight both Feather and Light weight, am hoping for Romy Ruyssen, Alexandra Buch,Randi Miller, Kayla Harrison (gold medal judo), Gabi Garcia (BJJ star), and crossing my finger that Amanda Lucas and Yana Kunitskaya will be back.

Hope you post a list for this new weight class even though fighter are scarce.

Sherdog DB doesn’t have weight info for bouts, only profile settings which are often wrong. Distinguishing between HW and “Super HW” is easily the toughest one to make.

  50. Chromium March 27, 2014 at 4:22 am Reply

I have a suggestion for this division and also for HW: maybe we could have a symbol for people who fight above 146 in Women’s FW+, or above 266 at HW+? It’d be an interesting thing to keep track of I think, and the info should be directly processable from the Sherdog database.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t add the women’s flyweights next (and probably before the end of 2014). I’m sure that some of the current bantamweights would prefer to go back down to flyweight (this includes some of the rumored names for the upcoming TUF show). The featherweight division just isn’t very deep and it could take the UFC a long time to add it.

I think UFC will have Women’s Feather weight next, if Cyborg wins, they still have her under contract, plus a few of their Bantam weights can move up. UFC already takes from Fly weights to fill their Bantam weight, and the best Straw weights are snapped up in Bellator MMA so UFC can hold off on fighting for them, and Atom Weights are still too few.
