I thought the winner of Tim vs Hector if it had been a finish. More that we’ve seen the fight and that didn’t happen, I’m glad I didn’t vote that way and while I’d love to see the Rashad vs Anderson, Weidman is an excellent (realistic) option.

Weidman doesn’t impress me and I don’t see this fight going any different than Chael’s. Lombard and Evans are the fights I believe would be most fun to watch, but I think Rockhold has got the best chances of making it a competitive fight.

    Lombard if wins
    Weidman if Lombard loses.
    Sorry Tim

I would like to see Hector Lombard get the shot to keep Silva busy. If he were to get beat by Boestch though, I would like to see him vs Weidman in a number one contender match.

The middleweight division is pretty thin right now, there just aren’t too many worthy contenders out there. If Bisping wins his next fight, I think he should get a title shot (mainly because I want to see Bisping destroyed again).

Evans probably can’t make 185 lbs, but if he can, that would be a great matchup.

  • Norman says:

Wow. I’m dumbfounded by that series of words.

  • David says:

It’s tricky because I feel that only Lombard should get the shot if he wins. The Boetsch fight is a “test” to see if this guy can swim with the biggest sharks in the ocean. Boestch may not look like much in the UFC (he’s replacing Stann, after all) but he would be a stand out in BFC or any of the other “farm-league” MMA promotions that Lombard has dominated in recent years. Boestch should get Bisping if he somehow defeats Lombard.

If Lombard can’t hang with The Barbarian then we will know the Cuban’s worth. At that point, I think we need to look at Weidman more seriously.

Evans for me, would be a fun fight and the one to make, assuming he has no problems making 185.

Silva has enough defenses. There’s always going to be someone ranked #2 or #3, until the end of time.. but I think it should be about making notable fights at this point.

Weidman deserves it. But I’d rather see him take on the winner of Lombard-Boetsch first, since I doubt Anderson will take another fight this year.
