PFL Super Fights Ngannou vs Ferreira sports betting tips

Posted on September 2, 2024 by A. J. Riot

October 19 marks the start of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) with a match between the current heavyweight PFL champion, Renan Ferreira, and his challenger, Francis Ngannou, who stepped away from the ring in January 2022.

The event is called “Battle of the Giants” and will take place in Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The winner of the event will become the first PFL Super Fights Champion. The side event is Cris Cyborg fighting the women’s featherweight champion, Larissa Pacheco.

PFL is a competition launched in 2018 that has six weight categories. The winner of each category gets $1 million at the end of the season. The fights are held in a 10-sided cage and abide by the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts except that there are no elbow strikes.

Bookmakers see Ngannou as the clear favorite, giving him about a 75% chance of winning, which reflects in his 1.30 PFL odds. As for the side event, sports betting websites give 50-50 chances to either fighter, which is why they both have around 1.90 PFL odds. PFL betting enthusiasts from Hungary can check out somagyarkaszino.com for up-to-date odds. The website summarizes all four fighters and the bookmakers’ predictions for both events.

MGK Slams Strickland: “Shut the F*** Up”

Posted on September 2, 2024 by A. J. Riot

Sean Strickland admits he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s safe to say that famous American rapper Machine Gun Kelly is definitely not one of his admirers.

The Background

In February, former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland met rapper Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker) at a Power Slap event. An introduction by mutual friend Luke Trembath quickly escalated into a heated exchange, with Strickland making derogatory comments about Baker.

The MMA star called MGK a “goth South Park character”, a label the ‘Mainstream Sellout‘ artist certainly did not enjoy.

The duo wanted to catch on to the growing popularity of Power Slap, which is even gaining traction in countries as far away as New Zealand. While the country is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and fierce sporting culture, Power Slap could soon add to the entertainment offering of the island nation.

The rise of Power Slap tournaments in New Zealand could mirror the growth of New Zealand online pokies in recent years. Both industries have seen a surge in popularity due to the high level of excitement the activities offer. While Power Slap is a pure adrenaline rush, online pokies have mesmerised Kiwis with their engaging yet rewarding gameplay, building on the existing pokie culture in the nation.

What to Expect From UFC 306

Posted on August 26, 2024 by A. J. Riot

Expect a spectacle! While this can be said for any UFC event, this one really is one of a kind. First of all, it is dedicated to the celebration of Mexican Independence Day. Secondly, it is going to be held at the Las Vegas Sphere. You can already tell that only due to this fact alone it is a unique event. Dana White already confirmed that production costs tied to organizing a UFC event at the Sphere are massive and that this is a one-off event. Knowing this, everyone going there for UFC 306 knows what he’s getting for the price of a ticket.

Mexico Independence Day is a massive event for all Mexicans and their friends, so you can bet that they will be honored by the best means possible. We’re, of course, talking about the UFC 306 bouts. The UFC commissioner, Dana White, already confirmed that the card will be Mexican-heavy.  Not all bouts have been confirmed as of now, so we’ll write about what we know so far.

UFC 306 is scheduled for the 14th of September, and with little more than one month to go, we will have a clearer picture of who will fight who in the coming days and weeks. What we do know at the moment is that the event is dubbed Riyadh Season Noche UFC. As you can guess, part of it is tied to Mexican culture, while the other part is tied to the event’s sponsors.

As far as the bouts go, at the moment, we can say with a lot of certainty that the headliner is going to be O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili. So, let us start with the biggest match scheduled for the Sphere event before we move to the rest of the UFC 306 picks.

Ronda Rousey Retires from WWE – Backstory

Posted on August 25, 2024 by Heather
Photo by Brandon Magnus/Zuffa LLC/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images

According to Sports Illustrated, Ronda Rousey has indefinitely retired from the WWE. “During an interview with NewsNation’s “Banfield,” Rousey claimed that Gulak pulled her by the strings of her sweatpants while she was waiting to speak with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.” Due to his unprofessional conduct, Dave Gulak was fired by the WWE.

She has had a short, yet successful career in combat sports, including Judo, MMA, and professional wrestling. Dana white had vouched never to have a female fighter in the UFC. However, due to being a bronze medalist in the USA Olympic Judo team and her popularity in Strikeforce, she impressed Dana White. In turn he included women in the UFC.

Ronda Rousey was the pioneer of women’s MMA in the UFC. The unfortunate part of Ronda Rousey’s story is that her striking needed a lot of improvement. Yet, she was an excellent grappler and when she won it was typically by submission.

Eventually, Rousey’s and opponents figured out her weakness and after consecutive losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, her career deteriorated. This led her to transition to professional wrestling. It’s a rarity for an individual to achieve the highest level of success in numerous sports in such a short period of time. Ronda Rousey will go down in history of the UFC, WWE, and Judo.

I have been a fan and avid viewer of all combat sports for decades. I was once a Judoka, which is what eventually piqued my interest in Mixed Martial Arts. I have been a spectator of the UFC since 2001. For 25 years I’ve worked in healthcare, and now am trying to make something that was a hobby, into a full-time endeavor.
