UFC 326: Oliveira vs. Holloway for BMF Gold

Posted on February 26, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Charles Oliveira knows how to take a punch. He has taken a few. After all, the man has been in 47 professional bouts. Winning some, losing some. Never giving up in the process. That’s Do Bronx for you. If some other fighters were in his boots, he would have retired a while ago, but not Charles Oliveira. Instead, he will put his body on the line once again when he meets Max Holloway at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 7th. For a fighter of Oliveira’s past there couldn’t be a better opponent than Blessed, for a symbolic title of the Baddest Mother F**ker in the UFC.

While symbolic in terms of UFC rankings, for two fighters of Holloway’s and Oliveira’s pedigree it means more than your average title. Max more than deserved to carry the BMF belt, after securing it in a memorable fashion at UFC 300. Oliveira, on the other hand, is trying to get another title shot through this bout, and despite his 36-11 record is entering the T-Mobile Arena as an underdog. You will need all the betting tips for UFC 326 you can get as this match is going to be a tricky one.

While every bookmaker out there is pitting the odds against the Do Bronx, Charles is not one to be underestimated. In the past, he carved a career out of being a fighter and bookie underestimating him. He is prepared to go against the odds once again, and we’re more than eager to witness how he will do it. Oliveira can win, and we have more than a few ideas on how he could do it under the right circumstances.

UFC 325: Volkanovski vs Lopes Preview

Posted on January 29, 2026 by Jack Latham

Background

After the Paramount era got off to a bang last weekend with Justin Gaethje defeating Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title, attention now turns to Australia and the heavily anticipated rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes.

Volkanovski currently holds the featherweight title after defeating Lopes in April 2025, after Ilia Topuria had vacated it to move up to the lightweight division.

Before being defeated by Topuria, Volkanovski had held the title for 1526 days, defeating the likes of Brian Ortega and Max Holloway on the way to securing five title defenses.

As for Lopes, he caught the eye of MMA fans in 2021 after losing via technical decision, due to an eye poke, against Joanderson Brito on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Despite his chance for a contract being cut short, the UFC eventually signed him, and he made his debut on five days’ notice against Movsar Evloev in May 2023.

Lopes then went on to defeat Ortega and Jean Silva to earn a shot at the gold, losing out via unanimous decision over five rounds.

But Lopes is determined to capture the title and this time maybe his fortunes will change…

UFC 324 — Gaethje vs. Pimblett

Posted on January 21, 2026 by Vitaliy Vovk

Interim Lightweight Championship (155 lbs)
January 24, 2026
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

[#5][#4 UFC]   Justin Gaethje (26–5–0) vs. [#8][#5 UFC]  Paddy Pimblett (23–3–0)

Stylistic Breakdown

Justin Gaethje

Pressure-based striker with high output, emphasis on leg kicks and mid-range exchanges. Defensive wrestling and takedown awareness have improved, particularly against single-shot entries. Historically effective over extended durations. Primary risk area remains prolonged grappling sequences and transitional control.

Paddy Pimblett

Submission-oriented finisher with strong positional awareness in scrambles. Most effective when converting chaos into back control or dominant top positions. Striking output has increased, though defensive gaps remain, particularly against sustained pressure and leg-kick damage.

Why Immediate Outcome Systems Are Influencing How Combat Sports Data Is Interpreted

Posted on January 21, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Combat sports analysis has moved far beyond post-fight recaps and static rankings. Professionals now evaluate performance through live indicators, momentum shifts, and evolving statistical context. This shift reflects broader changes in how information is consumed and trusted under pressure.

Audiences and analysts alike want clarity while events unfold, not only after outcomes are finalized. Delayed interpretation weakens relevance because fight dynamics change rapidly. Over time, this expectation reshaped how combat sports data platforms present value.

For decision-makers, analysts, and media professionals, this change is structural. Insight now depends on how quickly systems surface meaningful signals rather than how thoroughly they summarize finished events.

UFC 321: Aspinall vs Gane Preview

Posted on October 24, 2025 by Jack Latham

Tom Aspinall (C) vs Ciryl Gane

Background

A blockbuster encounter headlines UFC 321 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi as the heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, defends his belt for the first time against Ciryl Gane.

This will be Aspinall’s first defence after claiming the title in June, following Jon Jones’ retirement. He had previously won eight of his nine fights in the UFC, with each victory coming via either submission or KO.

Aspinall’s only loss was also in contentious fashion, as he injured his medial collateral ligament after just 15 seconds of his first fight with Curtis Blaydes.

As for Gane, this will be his second shot at UFC gold after his submission loss to Jon Jones in March 2023. A controversial victory over Aleksandar Volkov last year has given him another opportunity, one that ‘Bon Gamin’ will be desperate to take.

Gane has showcased his knockout power in the past with victories over Tai Tuivasa and Serghei Spivac but is also very efficient in the clinch, something that may put the champion on notice…

Della Maddalena vs Makhachev: Who’s more likely to come out on top?

Posted on October 16, 2025 by A. J. Riot

All eyes are turning towards the much-anticipated fight for the UFC Welterweight title that will take place between Jack Della Maddalena and Islam Makhachev. We wait with bated breath for the bout on November 15th when the Aussie and Russian will face off in Madison Square Garden.

It’s sure to be a close one between Della Maddalena, the current UFC Welterweight Champion, and Makhachev, the former Lightweight Champion. Both have the skills needed to take the title, but Makhachev will enter the contest as many people’s favorite, especially given his current all-round form. There’s more to look forward to with the Women’s Flyweight title between Shevchenko and Weili also on the cards!

Carlos Ulberg vs Dominick Reyes

Posted on September 23, 2025 by Jack Latham

Background

The UFC heads to Perth this weekend as Carlos Ulberg and Dominick Reyes take center stage in a huge light heavyweight affair.

Ulberg comes into the bout off the back of seven consecutive wins, the longest active streak in the light heavyweight division, while Reyes is also impressing, securing three victories in a row.

After earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020, Ulberg has been on a warpath, despite a debut loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu. Victories over Volkan Oezdemir and, most recently, Jan Blachowicz put him firmly in the title picture, and a win here would surely grant him a shot.

As for Reyes, many thought the writing was on the wall for his UFC career after suffering four consecutive defeats between 2020 and 2022; however, the 35-year-old’s fortunes have soon changed.

Dominant first-round wins over Dustin Jacoby and Nikita Krylov, paired with the second-round TKO of Anthony Smith, put the ‘Devastator’ firmly back in the title picture, and a win over the Australian Ulberg could make his dreams come true…

Chimaev, du Plessis and 49ers

Posted on August 12, 2025 by Vincent Juico

This content originally appeared on https://businessmirror.com.ph/2025/08/11/chimaev-du-plessis-and-49ers/

[#1 MW](C)  Dricus Du Plessis (DDP) and [#4 MW] Khamzat Chimaev, two of the most dynamic athletes in the UFC middleweight division, will exchange strikes, takedowns and submission attempts at UFC 319 at the United Center in Chicago on Friday.

Many questions heading into what many think and feel will be an absolute banger and barnburner of a fight.

Can Chimaev neutralize DDP’s rhythm?

Chimaev’s takedown-heavy offense could suffocate DDP if he maintains relentless pressure.

Will DDP bait mistakes and finish?

DDP’s offensive creativity and endurance could frustrate Chimaev, opening paths to strikes or submissions.

This fight is a classic clash of relentless aggression vs unconventional adaptability.

UFC 318 Picks & Predictions-Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway

Posted on July 4, 2025 by A. J. Riot

Third time’s the charm, but for whom? When we get to UFC 318, we will have Dustin Poirier face Max Holloway for the third time in their careers. One is a former featherweight champion, while the other only achieved holding the lightweight interim belt. This time around, no title is on the line, but whoever wins will hold the trivial BMF belt when it’s all said and done.
