Mastering Minesweeper: How to Play, Win, and Earn Real Money in USA Casinos – A Comprehensive Guide

Posted on May 2, 2024 by A. J. Riot

Older gamers will never forget how fun Minesweepers were. Users had few game options when Microsoft computers were in their early eras. Today, computers have several simple built-in games, such as pinball, card games and Minesweeper.

For younger gamers who had never seen how the classic Minesweeper looked, the game showed simple grey squares with a smiley face on the top. Beside the smiley icon, there’s a panel to keep track of players’ points. When players click on a landmine, the game ends.

Casino game providers have created several new versions of the classic game. Stake also has an original Mines game for its unique version of Minesweeper. Like other casino games, players can bet using real money and win real money. However, these newer Minesweeper games have several differences from the classic one, and some players may be confused about how to play Minesweeper online.

Let’s discuss more about how the game works and if there are any ways to win it. Believe it or not, there are several strategies players can keep in mind while playing Minesweeper!

Understanding the Classic Minesweeper

In the classic Minesweeper board, players can click a square, and it’ll react accordingly; it has simple rules. The left click opens a square, while the right click places red flags. When players right-click on the red flag once again, it changes the flags into question marks.

Some squares will only open one tile without revealing anything. However, other squares can reveal numbers between one and eight. The rare Minesweeper 8 tile can only appear once in each round.

Many ask what the smiley face does, as it never changes much throughout the gameplay. However, when a player is winning, the smiley face will wear a sunglass to celebrate.

Numbers on Adjacent Squares

The numbers on the minesweeper unblocked tiles hint at where the bombs are. The empty squares hint that they’re not touching any mine. When clicking on this tile, it’ll open the adjacent squares in all directions until it reveals a square with a number. Some squares automatically opened a huge safe area.

For the classic version, players tend to randomly click to get non-mine squares opening and reveal as many numbers as possible to better understand what’s hiding behind the tiles. Meanwhile, the classic version’s first square is always a safe click.

There are three difficulties in the classic Minesweeper. The beginner level has an 8×8 and 9×9, with 10 mines. The intermediate Minesweeper levels come in a 16×16 board, hiding 40 mines. The expert level is a 30×16 board with 99 mines.

How Casino Mine Games Work

The new and improved technologies make casino Mine games much better-looking than the classic ones. However, there aren’t many changes to the game’s mechanics. The main goal is still the same: players must avoid clicking all the squares that contain a bomb. Once they click on the square where the bomb is buried, the game ends.

The main difference is that real money is involved. The more safe squares players click, the higher the payout will be. When players reveal the bomb, they lose their bets and the accumulated win.

Some casinos that have the mines gambling game allow players to customize how many tiles they can go over. The higher the number of tiles, the bigger the payout. However, it also increases the chance of the bomb exploding.

There’s no telling where the next bomb is, so players won’t be able to get any hints from looking at the adjacent squares. Casinos’ Mine games don’t have numbers that indicate the bomb location. The good thing is that players can stop whenever they want to receive the payout before they can touch any of the bombs.

How to Play Minesweeper in Casinos

These mining games might sound simple to many. However, it can be confusing to understand initially, especially when the player has never seen or played Minesweeper online. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play casino mines.

Placing Bets

Like all casino games, players must start by betting on the mines game. Depending on the type of game and the online casino, players will find a button to adjust their bet size. The limit differs, but the minimum bet is mostly £0.1, and the maximum bet limit will vary. There would be + and—buttons that players can use to change the bet amount per round.

Choosing How Many Mines to Play With

After setting bets, some mines allow players to adjust the number of mines that’ll be playable within the round. Players can immediately start the game using the game’s primary setting, but they can also customize the number of mines available in each round.

Depending on the mines game, the maximum number of active mines is around 20. The higher the number of mines a player sets up, the bigger the payout they can receive.

Start Playing

After setting up the game, everything is ready to start. Players can click the start button or the bet button to begin playing. Then, they can start clicking on the tiles to open them. Depending on the player’s luck, the tile might reveal an empty square or reveal a bomb. Some mine games have symbols other than the bomb, like a diamond.

A Minesweeper gambling game based on the classic version usually stops after players discover the bomb. However, in the case of some mines, revealing a symbol under the tile might give a payout.

With many tiles and their adjacent squares to uncover, players always have a choice to continue and get higher payouts or stop and collect their winnings. If they choose to continue and choose the wrong tile, the game will stop, and they’ll lose the winnings alongside their initial bet.

Online Minesweeper Strategies

Although playing the casino version of the mines betting game is primarily dependent on luck, there are several things a player can keep in mind before starting. Here are some tips and tricks to enhance the betting experience for the land mines game.

Set Up Bankroll

Before playing the mines game online or other casino games, a gambler must set up a gambling bankroll. By setting up bankrolls, players limit how much they spend on gambling activities. This means the bankroll should be the amount of money a player is willing to lose.

Sticking to a budget to minimize risks and stay responsible while gambling is essential. With a bankroll in place, a gambler will know when to stop and won’t start risking something the money they can’t afford to lose.

Try Demo Games First

Some players might think that when they play Minesweeper game online it’ll be the same as playing the classic version. Although there aren’t too many differences, they’re different. Many casinos, including Stake, provide demo mode games that allow players to try the game without risking real money. Try to get comfortable with the mechanism and understand the game’s features before jumping in with real money.

Take Advantage of Bonuses

Almost all online casinos offer bonuses for their users. These promotions aren’t free money but can boost a gambler’s account. When appropriately utilized, casino bonuses can help lower the house edge.

Stake is generous with offers and bonuses. There are many seasonal offers that players shouldn’t miss. Stake also appreciates all loyal customers by offering a VIP program that can benefit players through exclusive bonuses.

Know When to Cash Out

Mines or Minesweeper game online is a game that allows players to cash out whenever they’re most comfortable. Cashing out earlier might give lower multipliers, but there’s no telling when the bomb might appear. When there’s a chance to lock the prize, even when they’re only small wins, they’re much safer than risking it on every step.

Be Creative

Mine games are highly customizable, so players can experiment to find what works best. They can try mixing and matching different play styles, taking advantage of the rulesets and enjoying the mines game casino to the fullest. Each player tends to have their discovery process before settling on a strategy that works best for them.
