Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) is defending multiple titles against England’s Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), on December 21, 2024, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Heavyweight boxing bout will be broadcast live on DAZN Pay-Per-View. In the initial match-up between Usyk and Fury on May 18, 2024, Usyk defeated Fury and became the undisputed world heavyweight champion by split decision. The rematch will have the following titles up for grabs: WBC, WBA, IBF, and the WBO titles. Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has played a major role in securing a rematch as soon as possible for the two professional boxers.
Oleksandr Usyk is undergoing intense training in preparation for his upcoming rematch with Fury to defend his current titles and remain the heavyweight champion. He owns a gym in Spain where he has sparred against 40 different boxers for 250 rounds. Utilizing a separate opponent per round, Usyk’s training camp consists of 15 rounds of three and a half minutes each.
Tyson Fury is also undergoing training, while posting the training videos on his social media. He is essentially out for revenge in December for four world titles. Fury has a nutritionist who suggests that he consumes 4,500–6,000 calories on training days. His diet is strict with a high protein and healthy food intake. In a different way, Tyson is also working on improving his sparring techniques just as Oleksandr has been doing.
