Conor McGregor was the first fighter to hold UFC titles in two weight classes at the same time, and his bouts set pay-per-view records that still stand. On July 2, 2026, 1xBet named the Irishman its Global Brand Ambassador, nine days before his return to the Octagon at UFC 329.

Early career: from Crumlin to the UFC
McGregor grew up in Crumlin and later Lucan, on the edge of Dublin. He spent a year as an apprentice plumber before committing to full-time training with John Kavanagh at SBG Ireland, where he later earned a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 2012 he held the Cage Warriors featherweight and lightweight belts at the same time, four years before he did the same in the UFC. He arrived in the UFC with a 12-2 record.
His debut came on April 6, 2013, in Stockholm, where he stopped Marcus Brimage in 67 seconds and earned the Knockout of the Night bonus. Four months later he beat Max Holloway on points in Boston despite tearing his ACL during the fight, an injury that kept him out for most of the next year.
Conor McGregor UFC record: every fight
| Year | Fights |
| 2013 | Beat Marcus Brimage (TKO) and Max Holloway (decision) |
| 2014 | Beat Diego Brandão and Dustin Poirier (both by TKO) |
| 2015 | Beat Dennis Siver (TKO), Chad Mendes (TKO, interim featherweight title) and José Aldo (KO in 13 seconds, featherweight title) |
| 2016 | Lost to Nate Diaz (submission), then beat Diaz in the rematch (decision) and Eddie Alvarez (TKO, lightweight title) |
| 2018 | Lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov (submission) |
| 2020 | Beat Donald Cerrone (TKO in 40 seconds) |
| 2021 | Lost twice to Dustin Poirier (TKO, the second after a broken leg) |
| 2026 | Lost to Max Holloway (TKO after a knee injury) |
Fans often split his career at the Khabib fight. Before UFC 229 his MMA record was 21-3; since then he is 1-3, with the Cerrone win as the only victory.
Records and firsts
The 13-second knockout of José Aldo at UFC 194 is still the fastest finish in a UFC title fight. Eleven months later, at UFC 205, the promotion’s first event in New York City, he stopped Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden and became the first fighter to hold two UFC belts at once.
His fights also sold. UFC 229 against Khabib Nurmagomedov drew about 2.4 million pay-per-view buys, the most for any MMA event. A year earlier he crossed into boxing to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26, 2017, lost by 10th-round TKO and still helped produce the second best-selling pay-per-view in history. In 2021 Forbes ranked him the highest-paid athlete in the world, with $180 million in earnings.
Conor McGregor’s last fight: UFC 329 vs Max Holloway
On July 11, 2026, McGregor fought for the first time in five years, meeting Max Holloway at welterweight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It was a rematch of their 2013 bout. McGregor opened with a jumping kick, landed badly on his knee and could not continue, and the referee stopped the fight at 1:09 of the first round. McGregor later said he had torn his ACL and meniscus.
The loss was his third in a row and made his record against Holloway 1-1. Both of their fights ended with a knee injury for McGregor: he won the first on points with a torn ACL and lost the second within 70 seconds. After the fight Holloway said a third meeting should happen.
1xBet ambassador: what the deal includes
1xBet announced the partnership on July 2, 2026, and gave McGregor the title of Global Brand Ambassador. He appears in the brand’s international campaigns across digital platforms, advertising, social media and fan events. Neither side disclosed the fee or the length of the contract, which the company described as long-term.
McGregor is not the only fighter on the 1xBet ambassador list. The brand signed Brazilian UFC welterweight Carlos Prates in April 2026 and added West Indies cricket all-rounder Romario Shepherd in October 2026.
1xBet betting on UFC fights
1xBet covers numbered UFC events and Fight Night cards, with markets that go beyond picking a winner:
- Fight winner (moneyline)
- Method of victory: KO/TKO, submission or decision
- Round betting: the exact round of a finish
- Total rounds and whether the fight goes the distance
- Live bets between rounds
McGregor’s numbers show why the method and round markets matter for his fights. Nineteen of his 22 wins came by KO or TKO and only two went to the judges, while all seven of his losses came inside the distance, three by TKO and four by submission.
