PRESS RELEASE

The recent Masters Boxing event “The Eminence – UK’s Biggest Masters Championships”, held on 19 December in England, proved to be a resounding success and a strong statement for the future of Masters Boxing in the United Kingdom.
With 15 high-quality bouts, excellent organisation and an enthusiastic, respectful crowd, the event highlighted the growing importance and professionalism of Masters Boxing in the UK. The atmosphere, sporting standard and audience response clearly demonstrated that this format has firmly established itself on the British boxing calendar.
Following this successful event, Ralf-Peter Frohn-Lux, WBU Masters Boxing World Champion, is pleased to confirm his future role as an official WBU Representative, supporting Ross Diamond and the continued development of English Masters Boxing.

“Events like ‘The Eminence’ show what Masters Boxing can be when it is taken seriously, organized professionally and presented with respect for the athletes. The UK is currently setting benchmarks, and I am proud to support this development as part of the WBU,” said Frohn-Lux.

Building on this momentum, the next edition of “The Eminence – UK’s Biggest Masters Championships” is already confirmed and will take place on 11 May 2026, continuing to strengthen the UK’s leading role within the international Masters Boxing scene.

Formats such as The Eminence not only reinforce the national Masters Boxing landscape but also send a clear international message: Masters Boxing has evolved into a respected, high-level competition platform for experienced athletes.
Further developments and additional events are currently in preparation.
