UFC 303 & 304 Predictions And Expert Picks

Posted on June 28, 2024 by A. J. Riot

UFC is right around the corner and it promises to be a fighting show we will not forget easily. While there have been slight changes to the card, what we’ll receive as the main bout will not disappoint. The current household name Alex Pereira will take his stand once again against the former champion Jiri Procházka. If you remember, their last fight ended in a knockout, and we can expect an explosion of fists here too.

UFC 303 Timeline &  Location

The host for this event is no other than Las Vegas, Nevada, and its T-Mobile Arena. Sin City is well known for organizing some of the best fighting events in the world, and this time will be no different. The opening night is on June 29th which means you have little time to make your UFC bets.

UFC 303 Picks & Predictions

There is going to be plenty of fighting at UFC 303. While most eyes are going to be on the bout between Alex and Jiri, there’s so much more to this event. We’re going to cover the biggest ones in our eyes through this set of picks & predictions.

Alex Pereira vs Jiri Procházka

The last bout between these two machines occurred in November of 2023 at UFC 295.  The first encounter was won by Pereira in terms of a TKO in the second round. But, before landing his left hook, Pereira was on the ropes after Procházka dealt him some powerful strikes and took him down to the ground a few times. If we look at the last fight and current form, our pick is Alex Pereira due to the advantage he has with his leg kicks.

Both fighters had an outing in April with Jiri beating Alexander Rakic and looking good in the process. So, both fighters had little time to rest on UFC terms, but are more than gearing for the duel. With rumors that Alex is having issues with a broken toe, maybe Jiri could take advantage of this and make his mark on Pereira.

Prediction: Pereira wins by KO/TKO.

Brian Ortega vs Diego Lopes

Just some time ago UFC 303 seemed like it was going to miss a fight that could headline it. But, despite the short notice, both Ortega and Lopes stepped up. Knowing their history we already can tell that this is going to be a good fight. Lopes is on a hot streak, and after winning his three last bouts the number of his fans is growing. Dana White couldn’t keep his eyes closed on Diego’s progress and the fight with Brian Ortega was his reward.

On the other side, we have the BJJ master Ortega who is known for his tough fighting style. Once on the road to stardom, the recent hiatus has taken him from the destined path of success, but don’t be surprised if he has a submission on the cards here.

Prediction: Brian Ortega wins by submission.

Ian Machado Garry vs Michael Page

Considering the power striking styles of these two fighters we will not be looking at submission in this match. Garry has been looking to emulate his idol Conor McGregor and has managed to do so in the welterweight division. As of now, he is still undefeated and rakes up wins by knockouts.

Across the octagon, he’s going to have an experienced adversary in the form of Michael Page. Michael made his name in Bellator and is a recent addition to the UFC community of UFC. With one UFC bout under his belt, we can say that he showed promise against Kevin Holland. Good strikes, creative movement, and speed are his main traits. We expect a lot from this bout and if you’re on the same page and want to listen to our UFC betting picks, we have this:

Prediction: Page by KO/TKO

Anthony Smith vs Roman Dolidze

This is a matchup of bad luck. We already had three fighters dropping out due to injuries. You should bet to have this match postponed if we look at Ulberg, Hill, and Rountree all quitting on their terms. Smith has been waiting for an opponent for too long and the name that still stands as his opponent is Roman Dolidze.

Roman is an underdog and it’s no wonder the bookies see him like that as he has lost all three of his last UFC bouts. At the same time, Anthony made a mark in his career after an impressive win over Petrino who was on the rise before their fight. Dolidze brings more experience to the table but we can’t see past Smith as the winner over the Georgian fighter.

Prediction: Smith by UD

Myra Bueno Silva vs Macy Chiasson

Here, we have two fighters that are a good match one against the other. Their records are similar but they are not entering this duel on the same notes. Chiasson is coming off a win and is high on confidence while Bueno Silva lost her bout against Pennington. Despite these facts, Silva is the betting favorite to win this one. After all, she spent more time in the UFC, has more wins, and her striking accuracy is on another level compared to her next adversary.

With all of this said it is still too early to write Macy off. Due to her height and reach she is often a difference maker in her bouts. When you add the conditioning into the mix, and the struggles Silva had with it in recent matches this duel could go either way.

Prediction: Bueno Silva by UD

UFC 304 Timeline &  Location

It’s time to dedicate a little bit of time and effort to UFC 304. Yes, we’re not yet done with the 303 edition, but the following one is also worth our attention and time. What makes it so interesting is the fact that it’s bringing the UFC back to the United Kingdom. What this means is that we will have British talent in the spotlight again and that the local UFC fans will have the opportunity to witness the biggest fighting show in the world.

UFC 304 is scheduled on the 27th of July so there’s still plenty of time to prepare yourself for the things to come. It will be held in Manchester, UK at the Co-op Live Arena. This arena will be home to this type of event for the first time in its history. Also, Manchester will host the UFC event for the first time in almost a decade considering that the last time UFC was in this part of England was in 2016 at UFC 204.

Now that you know where and when all things UFC will occur in England let us move towards the two main bouts scheduled for UFC 304.

Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammad

Considering that UFC 304 is one month away we’re only going to focus on two bouts here. The best place to start is the main bout. This time around we have a rematch between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad. They have fought before, but in the meantime many things have changed. Edwards is the title holder with two successful defenses against Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman. As if that’s not enough, he has also won the last 12 fights in the UFC. This is what happens when you combine a good takedown defense, amazing grappling, and top-notch striking.

If we look at their last duel, not too many future conclusions can be pulled out of it as it ended prematurely. Also, Belal is on a hot streak of his own with eight consecutive wins. Despite this, and within a reason, he remains the underdog in this bout. When you add in the fact that Muhammad has never won a fight by KO, his chances remain low to win this one.

Prediction: Leon Edwards wins by submission.

Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes

Tom vs. Curtis is a chapter of UFC history that all of us want to see compete. The two men fought back in 2022 but that match brought little to no excitement. Only fifteen seconds into the first round Aspinall suffered a knee injury due to which he forfeited the match. This time around we expect to see two heavyweights battling out their differences till the end.

The end in this case should probably arrive before the final whistle as Tom has never allowed judges to make his decisions. All of Aspinall’s wins came either by KO/TKO or by submissions. So, judging by this, and by the latest UFC betting markets on Stake Sportsbook, he’s the favorite to win this bout. On the other hand, we have Blaydes who is a quality fighter in his own right who takes pride in his wrestling. During his career only four fighters bested him, and he will want to keep it at that number.

Prediction: Tom Aspinall wins by KO.

Betting Options

While one might think that betting on the UFC only revolves around getting the winner right, this is not true. Just like football, basketball, or any other sport, MMA has levels to the betting surrounding it. For those new to the sport, you can bet on it in many interesting ways. The most popular betting options for events such as UFC 303 and UFC 304 include:

* Betting on the match winner – This bet includes betting on the outright winner of the match regardless if that win comes by UD, TKO, KO, or submission.

* 1×2 – This is a bet that allows you to put money on both fighters but it excludes the match ending in a stalemate.

*Asian totals – This is where all the fun starts. With Asian totals, you can bet on how many rounds there will be, how many strikes, how many takedowns, or how much time spent on the ground. Depending on your bookie these best can get quite freaky.

* Winning method – It is not only about getting the winner right, you can also bet on whether that win will be achieved by KO, TKO, UD, or submission.

*Winner and exact rounds – Here we have a bet that makes your odds higher. It is harder to hit, but when you guess the round and the winner in the same go your win can even be doubled.

There you have it. In a few short paragraphs, you have received the main events of both UFC 303 and UFC 304 with a few instructions on how to bet on it. With some luck and knowledge, you can earn a lot in just two days of fighting. Make smart choices!
