UFC Fighters With Casino and Betting Sponsorships

Posted on August 17, 2026 by A. J. Riot

Casino and sportsbook brands have become closely linked with mixed martial arts. For fighters, sponsorships can add income outside fight purses. For betting companies, a recognizable UFC name offers direct access to a large sports audience and strong social-media reach.

That relationship has produced a growing list of UFC gambling sponsorships involving champions, contenders, and former titleholders. Alex Pereira, Alexandre Pantoja, Merab Dvalishvili, and other fighters have appeared in campaigns for betting or casino companies, while brands such as Stake and bet365 have also signed broader agreements with the UFC.

Why Betting Brands Keep Signing UFC Fighters

MMA gives betting companies a useful mix of live events, strong fighter identities, and active fan communities. Fightful notes that sponsors often look beyond rankings when selecting ambassadors. Reputation, social reach, location, and commercial reliability can matter as much as results inside the cage.

Regional rules are part of that calculation. Gambling access, licensing, payment methods, and promotional rules differ between countries. The same market-by-market approach appears in resources covering the best online casino Cyprus, where casino options are compared using factors such as licenses, payment choices, withdrawals, game selection, and access for players in Cyprus. A fighter with a strong following in a permitted market can therefore be more valuable to a betting brand than an athlete whose audience sits mainly in restricted regions.

Which UFC Fighters Have Gambling Sponsorships?

Stake has become one of the most visible betting brands connected with UFC fighter sponsorships. Its current UFC sponsorship page lists Alex Pereira, Caio Borralho, Merab Dvalishvili, Tracy Cortez, and Alexandre Pantoja as athlete ambassadors. Stake also identifies Israel Adesanya as a sponsored fighter.

Pereira is a particularly strong example of gambling sponsors in MMA. His popularity in Brazil, championship record, and international profile give betting brands a recognizable face across several markets. MyMMANews also points to Pantoja and Dvalishvili as examples of fighters used to reach regional and mobile-focused audiences.

UFC Itself Has Major Sportsbook Deals

Fighter agreements sit beside much larger promotion-level contracts. In March 2026, UFC announced bet365 as its official sports betting partner in the United States and Canada. The multiyear deal covers brand visibility and UFC-related betting integrations.

FightMatrix notes that UFC betting sponsors have changed over time and can vary by territory. DraftKings previously held a major U.S. relationship, while Stake, BetMGM, Parimatch, and other operators have been linked with UFC or MMA marketing in different markets.

This structure gives sportsbooks two routes: sponsor the promotion itself or sign fighters separately. Some companies use both methods.

Why Some Fighters Get Deals and Others Do Not

A championship belt helps, but it is not the only factor behind MMA casino sponsorships. Betting brands are paying for attention and reputation as well as athletic results.

Common factors include:

  • Social-media following and audience activity
  • Popularity in legal betting markets
  • Public image and sponsor suitability
  • Fight frequency and media exposure
  • Ability to promote a brand outside event week
  • Language and regional reach

Fightful argues that a lower-ranked fighter with a large online following may sometimes offer greater commercial value than a top contender with little social presence. Sponsors also assess reputational risk because a fighter’s conduct can quickly become linked with the company funding the campaign.

From McGregor to Pereira: How the Model Changed

Conor McGregor helped show how valuable an MMA star could be to betting companies. MyMMANews highlights his earlier ambassador work and his ability to reach audiences far beyond regular fight fans.

The newer model is less dependent on one superstar. Current UFC gambling sponsorships cover fighters from Brazil, Georgia, the United States, and other major MMA markets. Pereira, Pantoja, Borralho, Cortez, and Dvalishvili give Stake several recognizable names rather than a single ambassador.

That strategy also lets brands match fighters with specific regions. A Brazilian champion may support campaigns aimed at Brazilian audiences, while another athlete can serve a different territory.

Betting Sponsorships Are Now Part of MMA Business

UFC betting sponsors are no longer unusual additions to fight promotion. They form a regular part of the commercial structure surrounding MMA, from athlete ambassador contracts to official sportsbook agreements.

For fighters, these deals can create income that does not depend on the result of the next bout. For betting brands, UFC fighter sponsorships offer access to highly visible athletes with loyal followings. As regulation varies across countries, future deals are likely to remain closely tied to geography, licensing rules, and the commercial value of each fighter’s audience.
