Introduction
Guillermo Gutierrez (11-2) is a 26 year old professional boxer, in the Super Flyweight division. Weighing approximately 115 lbs, he is fighting out of San Antonio, Texas, USA. His boxing manager is Gwen Legge from California, USA. She owns Eruption boxing and MMA management company. Mr Gutierrez has been boxing since he was a young child.

FightMatrix: What made you interested in becoming a boxer?
Guillermo Gutierrez: Boxing kind of chose me. My father signed me up when I was a kid, and at that age, you just go along with whatever your parents decide. Over time, it just stuck with me.
FM: How do you see combat sports growing worldwide in the next decade?
GG: Aren’t combat sports already worldwide? Hopefully, they’ll grow even bigger on a mainstream level in the next decade.
FM: What did it feel like when you won your first bout?
GG: Winning my first amateur fight as a kid was amazing, but my pro debut was something special—it marked the start of my professional journey.
FM: Are you interested in any sports or hobbies besides boxing?
GG: I enjoy my peace and alone time, whether it’s hitting the park trails or spending time at the shooting range. There’s more to life than boxing 24/7.
FM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
GG: Mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually better than I am now, Most High willing.
FM: At what age did you begin training to box?
GG: I started boxing at the age of 7.
FM: Do you have a fight currently scheduled? If so, when, where, and who is your next opponent?
GG: My next fight is possibly in February, but the details are still TBA.
FM: Do you typically train regularly or take a break in between fights? How many days a week do you train for a fight?
GG: I’m in the gym year-round. After fights, I usually take about a week off, and when preparing for a fight, I train six days a week.
FM: What is your favorite culinary dish? Do you cook? If you do cook, what’s the best dish that you can make?
GG: I’d say my favorite thing to cook is breakfast tacos. If you’re from South Texas, you know.
FM: Who is your favorite boxer of all time?
GG: Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez.
FM: Who or what inspires you in life?
GG: My inspiration comes from the true and loving God of the Bible.
FM: I would like to know your thoughts on the crossover between boxing and MMA.
GG: It’s fun from a casual fan perspective and great for keeping people entertained.
FM: What else would you like your fans to know about you?
GG: I stay true to myself.

Mr. Gutierrez has a drive to succeed in what he sets out to do. He is disciplined, down-to-earth, and has passion for boxing. He stated that combat sports is big and it is his hope that it will grow mainstream even more in the next decade. Guillermo Gutierrez likes to spend some mindful time to himself.
