Altamiro de Jesus: I didn’t have the opportunity to do martial arts; I come from a small town, and my start in martial arts came at the age of 26.
FM: What led you to a career as a professional MMA fighter?
AD: I always wanted to, and when I had the chance, I didn’t hesitate for a second.
FM: Who do you consider the greatest MMA fighter of all time, and why?
AD: Anderson Silva; he was unstoppable in his prime, and even now, with his age, he still shows the spirit of a samurai.
FM: Who is your biggest inspiration in life?
AD: My training partners.
FM: Who has been your toughest opponent to date?
AD: My first loss—it was a hard fight and difficult to accept.
FM: What is the proudest moment in your professional MMA career?
AD: Reaching this level without sponsor support, working during the day and training at night. That makes me proud.
FM: What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
AD: To make a living from fighting!

AD: He’s a great striker, and so am I. I’ll knock him out and claim the championship in the division.
FM: How has your fight camp been going in preparation for this fight?
AD: Every day is more exhausting, but I’m injury-free and at 100%, thank God.

AD: I’m someone who never gives up. I’ll do everything I can to put on the best fight of the night for everyone.
