#25 – #15: The Most Underrated MMA Fighters of All-Time: Part 1
If you missed the first part, you can visit it w/ the link above. It has all of the details about how this list came to be.
As I complete the list, I can’t help but think of how great this series could have been and how sad it is that reasonable lists like this are practically non-existent. If you come across any, please let me know.
#14 – #10
#14 – Miguel Torres (Rep Avg: #65 | Fight Matrix: #39)
Torres is still our Top Bantamweight of All-Time. With Barao recently losing and Cruz taking all the time off, Torres should hold this position for a little longer.
#13 – Alexandre Franca Nogueira (Rep Avg: #62.3 | Fight Matrix: #37)
Pequeño had one of the most dominant divisional runs in history, essentially leading the Featherweight division from 2000 to 2005, before deciding to make the move to Lightweight. At a division above, things didn’t go so well, but you can’t deny the dominance in the division that he belonged. The two losses he had in this streak were in non-title matches, which he immediately avenged in matches where the title was on the line — both by stoppage.
#12 – Tatsuya Kawajiri (Rep Avg: #61.3 | Fight Matrix: #36)
#11 – Robbie Lawler (Rep Avg: #65.3 | Fight Matrix: #38)
Two of our three representative lists are slightly behind with updates, which is likely a major contributor to Lawler being so high on the list. Then again, we’ll be boosting him up a couple spots in our next update as well.
#10 – Gilbert Melendez (Rep Avg: #26 | Fight Matrix: #15)
Melendez has compiled quite a career and although he lost his last fight out (days after we last calculated our All-Time Rankings), he may have flown just a tad under the radar by never quite getting to that global superstar level.
